ALTUM cooperation with international organizations
Mortgage bank and its permanent structural unit – ALTUM are actively involved in various international organizations and projects, where development banks and specialized financial institutions of similar nature solve issues related to development and implementation of SME funding availability policy:
NEFI
Network of European Financial Institutions for SME (NEFI) was established in 1999, its founders were development banks or similar financial institutions of 7 EU countries. NEFI members currently are: : KfW (Development bank of Germany), Finnvera (specialized financial institution of Finland), OSEO bdpme (Development bank of France), Slovak Guarantee and Development bank, Hungarian Development bank, AWS (Development bank of Austria), ALMI (specialized financial institution of Sweden), ICO (development bank of Spain), MCC (commercial bank of Italia, who’s been delegated functions of a development bank), SNCI (Development bank of Luxembourg), Mortgage bank. NEFI mission is: to maintain continuous and productive dialogue with EU institutions and other SME related associations and federations on SME financing issues; provide expertise and consultations to the EU and its finance institutions in planning and implementation of support and finance schemes on the EU scale; enable SME access to European and national level finance schemes.

EAPB
European Association of Public Banks (EAPB) was established in May of 2000, and it currently represents 23 public banks, specialized financial institutions and municipal financial institutions from 13 European countries. Among members of EAPB are such organizations as: Association of German Public Sector Banks, Kantonalbanks Group of Switzerland, Hungarian Development bank, Finnvera, specialized municipal financing institutions and banks of Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, State Development Bank of the Free State of Saxony (Germany), and Mortgage bank. EAPB represents the interests of its members to the EU Commission, Parliament, Council, informing its members on activities of EU institutions concerning banking legislation, economy and fiscal policy areas.

FinNetSME
The Network for Regional SME Finance (FinNetSME) was established in July of 2004, involving 20 SME finance support institutions (development banks, development agencies, business incubators etc.) from 10 various regions of EU member states. Among FinNetSME members are: EAPB (European Association of Public Banks), EURADA ((European Association of Regional Development Agencies), development banks of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Berlin, Schleswig-Holstein (all - Germany), INVEGA (Lithuanian Guarantee Agency), Mortgage bank etc. The purpose of the network’s operation is to identify the existing best practice in SME Regional financing issues and develop recommendations to the EU Commission, national and regional decision-making institutions for further improvement of SME finance availability instruments.
