About the Housing Guarantee Programme

Housing  loan guarantees for families who have a steady income, but lack sufficient savings for the first instalment.

  • The guarantee shall be granted if the loan for the purchase and/or construction and repair of a house does not exceed EUR 200,000.

  • Guarantee term is 10 years.

  • The amount of the guarantee is 10% of the principal amount of the loan and not more than EUR 10,000 if a family has one child.

  • The amount of the guarantee is 15% of the principal amount of the loan and not more than EUR 15,000 if a family has two children.

  • The amount of the guarantee is 20% of the principal amount of the loan and not more than EUR 20,000 if a family has three or more children.

  • If the bank has issued one loan for the purchase and repair of a house, the guarantee applies to both purposes.

  • The aim of the guarantee is to provide state aid for the acquisition or construction of a house for families with children, ensuring families mortgage loan repayment.

  • Provisionally, as of 1 March a.c., the following persons will be able to receive a guarantee for purchasing a dwelling:

     

    • persons, with whom at least one dependent child under 24 is living
    • persons, who have acquired secondary vocational or higher education and are under 35 — young specialists

    The amount of guarantee for young specialist will be up to 20% of the loan amount; maximum amount of guarantee — EUR 50,000. More detailed information on terms and conditions for receiving a guarantee will follow soon.
