About Loans For the Purchase of Land

Rural Enterprises

A loan with favourable conditions for the purchase of agricultural land, to produce agricultural products. 

  • The maximum amount of loan for purchase of one or more land plots is EUR 430,000 for one entrepreneur and group of persons related thereto.

  • The amount of loan cannot exceed 300% of the market value of the land to be purchased (in line with the evaluation performed by a certified valuer).

  • The loan repayment period is up to 30 years.

  • The loan interest rate consists of a fixed part: 2.2% per year, and a flexible part: the price of State Treasury resources that is reviewed every 6 months.

  • Loans will be issued until 31 December 2020.

  • If the amount of loan for the purchase of land exceeds 100% of the market value of the land to be purchased (in line with the evaluation performed by a certified valuer), the borrower has to provide additional collateral.

  • The loan for the purchase of the land is issued to purchase utilised agricultural area, to produce agricultural products and for the purchase of buildings on the land, if the cadastral value of the buildings does not exceed 30% of the cadastral value of the land.

  • The aim of the loan is to provide an opportunity to purchase agricultural land for producers of agricultural products. 

  • Aid is provided as de minimis aid in line with the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 and the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1408/2013 of 18 December 2013.
