Investment aid with capital discount for setting up new biomethane production facilities and for the construction of biomethane transmission connections or the purchase of a biomethane transport kit.
The project must not have started before the application is submitted to Altum.
Altum loan or bank loan guarantee with a capital discount for partial repayment of the loan principal after project implementation.
When financing eligible project costs with a bank loan, a guarantee of up to 80% is available to secure the loan.
After the project results are achieved, a capital discount will be applied to the loan from the bank or Altum, with an average repayment of 50%* of the loan principal.
*The amount of the allowance is determined in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 651/2014. The capital allowance may be lower depending on the size of the trader.
The maximum amount of the capital discount is EUR 4.2 million. EUR, not exceeding:
- 3,2 million for the establishment of a biomethane plant
- 1 million EUR for the construction of a biomethane connection
- 620 000 EUR for the purchase of a biomethane-powered vehicle for the transport of biomethane
If you choose bank financing, the bank will apply for an Altum guarantee after a positive financing decision.
The Programme has been developed in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No 21 of 7 January 2025 “Implementing Rules for the Specific Support Objective 2.1.2 “Promotion of Renewable Energy – Biomethane” of the European Union Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027″.
Indicators to be achieved in the projects:
at least 6,25 MWh/year of biomethane production for every EUR 1 000 capital allowance
at least 20 MWh/year of biomethane transported or refuelled for every EUR 1 000 capital rebate if a connection is built
at least 12 000 MWh of biomethane transported per year if a transport kit is purchased
